Instructor's Article Makes Cover of Art in America

Artist, art critic, and CIA instructor Dan Tranberg publishes in celebrated art journal.

Dan Tranberg, a visiting instructor in CIA’s Foundation, Liberal Arts, and Visual Arts and Technologies environments, wrote a profile of the painter Alexis Rockman that made the cover of the December 2010 issue of the prestigious journal, Art in America.

Tranberg, who began teaching at the Institute in 1999, is also an artist and art critic who has written for prominent art publications, including New York Arts, Art on Paper, BOMB, Glass Quarterly, and ArtUS. He earned an MA from Purdue University in studio art, and a BFA in studio art with an emphasis on ceramics at Northern Illinois University.
