CLEVELAND: Scott Ligon, a digital artist, author, filmmaker and Cleveland Institute of Art Assistant Professor, will demonstrate some tricks from his book Digital Art Revolution: Creating Fine Art with Photoshop at MOCA Cleveland on Wednesday, June 9th.

The book, released internationally by Random House this past March, offers essential guidance for creating original digital artwork that takes Photoshop beyond the technical and into the creative realm. “Scott Ligon has that rare combination of extraordinary creative powers AND the ability to clearly explain and transmit this process to others. About the Author:
Scott Ligon is an award-winning digital artist who frequently lectures on the subjects of creativity, filmmaking, and digital art, and is the coordinator for the Digital Foundation curriculum at The Cleveland Institute of Art. He is also the author/director of the short filmEscape Velocity, winner of “Best Experimental Film” at the USA Film Festival in Dallas, which has played in theaters and festivals all over the world. Ligon received his MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he studied under renowned original abstract expressionist Grace Hartigan.
