CIA graduate-designed furniture a hit at MOCA Cleveland

Dave Pickett '12 designed Floorscape, an industrial-style lounge, for MOCA Cleveland, while he was a student at CIA.

When MOCA Cleveland moved to its new location in University Circle, it turned to the Cleveland Institute of Art and selected Dave Pickett ‘12, then a senior in the industrial design program, to design a piece of furniture for the public. He had presented several design concepts to MOCA staff, and the finalist was Floorscape (pictured above), which was chosen because it reflects the exterior of the building and because people could interact with it.
