CIA grads at Chrysler draw on well-cultivated creativity as automotive designers

Video captures experiences of working designers who also teach at CIA

CIA Industrial Design graduates are making their mark at Chrysler – as lead designers of the new SRT Viper and numerous other vehicles – and several of these professional designers come back to CIA on Saturdays to teach an automotive design class.

In this video, five CIA alumni at Chrysler answer two key questions:

  • What’s it like to be an automotive designer?
  • How did CIA help you become one?

Videographer Jeff Mancinetti ’09, recorded the interviews at Chrysler’s gleaming headquarters outside of Detroit and filmed a Saturday class at CIA. The Chrysler video features Joe Dehner ’88, Dan Zimmermann ’96, Nico Vardis ’99, Bill Zheng ’00 and Irina Zavatski ’01.
