CIA grad adds Cleveland pride to
Providence House

Hats off to Painting grad Kristen Magerkurth '13 who carefully painted a Cleveland Cavaliers logo on the new basketball court at Providence House, a crisis nursery on Cleveland’s West Side.

Led by CEO and President Natalie Leek-Nelson, a 1990 CIA grad, Providence House offers emergency shelter and early child care services to infants and children, newborn to ten years old, who are at risk of abuse or neglect. The new basketball court provides a wonderful outlet for children staying at the home.

“Kristen did a fantastic job. We are so pleased with the end result,” said Emily Perry, development manager. “As part of our campus expansion and renovation capital campaign, the Cleveland Cavaliers awarded Providence House a Cavs Youth Grant to fund the construction of the junior court, which our building contractor installed.”

Thanks to Kristen, the new court now looks Cleveland proud.
