Lunch on Fridays: Outdoor Glassblowing

Spend your lunch hour experiencing and participating in live outdoor glassblowing with Hot Spot Glassworks during Lunch on Fridays at 12:15pm Friday, April 7 in CIA's Lot 73, near Entrance C.

This special edition of Lunch on Fridays is held in honor of Reinberger Gallery’s Risk + Discovery: Glass Innovation at CIA, which opens Thursday, April 6.

Hot Spot Glassworks, a mobile glass studio run by glass artist and CIA technical specialist Zac Gorell, will amaze viewers with live demonstrations of ancient glassblowing techniques that attendees can try for themselves. Come watch the demonstrations, then visit the Risk + Discovery to view work by glass artists who are experts in their craft. Free pizza will be provided for lunch.

Parking: Lunch on Fridays attendees may park in any of CIA's parking lots: Lot 73, Lot 74 and the Annex Lot, all of which surround our campus. Please note that signs posted around those lots correctly state that parking typically requires a CIA permit or visitor pass and that violators will be ticketed. However, to accommodate our valued Lunch on Fridays attendees, that policy won't be enforced during the program. Have questions?
