Writing for Beyond Blue magazine, Jessica Adanich '09 discusses her marine conservation artwork.
Cleveland Institute of Art sculpture graduate Jessica Adanich ’09 has published an article in the January 2011 issue of Beyond Blue, the official magazine of the Oceans Society.
Adanich’s article explains her work to change public perception of sharks and raise awareness about their endangerment. In one installation [pictured], she hung large shark forms made to resemble polar, panda, and koala bears to pose the question: "If sharks were cuddly, would you fear them?"
