Come Make Some Noise @yourlibrary! April 10?16

CIA's Gund Library has planned five days of noisy events to celebrate the 2011 National Library Week.

The Cleveland Institute of Art’s Gund Library is celebrating National Library Week April 10–16, and the staff would like to invite everyone to share in the festivities! Our theme this year is Come Make Some Noise!! @yourlibrary. We’ve planned a busy schedule of noisy events:

Monday thru Friday
Every day this week at 12:05pm and 4:35pm SCREAM!! Are you counting the days until the end of the semester? Are you really tired of those two little words, “Spring Show”? Stressed over your BFA? Then come to the library and SCREAM!! It’s a great stress reliever! Students, faculty, and staff are all welcome! Feel free to come several times throughout the week.

Tuesday
At 3:30pm we will host a very special “sound” performance by Richard Fiorelli’s 3D Design class. The students have transformed the cards from an old library catalog into something really unique. Do you remember those? Don’t miss it!!

Wednesday
12pm Ukulele Jam Session. We have discovered that there are many ukulele players in the CIA community, and we would like all of you to join together for a jam session. How cool would it be to fill the library with ukuleles! If you have music, bring it. We know schedules are tight, so feel free to stay as little or as long as you like. If you play the ukulele, bring it to the library and make some noise!

Friday
4:30pm Anything and Everything Jam Session. For our grand finale, we will host an all-instrument 30-minute jam session. If you play an instrument of any kind, bring it to the library and join the jam!!

You don’t want to miss this! Join the celebration and make some noise! See, we’re not your average library!
