News . Feature Stories . CIA Faculty Scott Colosimo Founds Motorcycle Co.
October 25, 2010
Fresh Water, Cleveland's weekly e-magazine about local innovation, profiles Scott Colosimo and his company Cleveland CycleWerks.
When Scott Colosimo graduated from The Cleveland Institute of Art in 2004, he put his industrial design degree to work as a product designer for several different companies. And in 2008 he returned to his alma mater as an adjunct faculty member teaching transportation design.
But Colosimo never forgot his teenage love for chopping up cars and bikes in his parents’ garage. So along with partners Jarrod Streng and Curtis Ray, he fulfilled a long-time dream by founding Cleveland CycleWerks. The company is devoted to building a "working man's bike"—one that average wage earners could actually afford.
