Reserve a Study Room

The library has two study rooms that students and employees can reserve for group study, collaborative work, meetings, or any time a space is needed during library hours.  Priority for the use of these spaces is given to students and student groups.  Schedule an appointment with a librarian

You can schedule an appointment with a librarian to get one on one help with all of your research! Choose either a 30 or 60 minute meeting that works best for your schedule. This service is available to any CIA community member. We look forward to meeting with you.

Ask for Library help!

We are always here to help you. Call, stop by, text, start a chat session, or ask a question online. The library staff will respond to online questions as soon as possible.

Request Library resource purchases

Current CIA faculty, staff or students may fill out our library request form if you would like us to add an item or resource to our collection. We will consider your requests and follow up with you regarding purchasing decisions.

Interlibrary Loan Services

If an item is not available through our databases or local catalog, please check the OhioLINK and SearchOhio catalogs before considering ILL requests. Please complete the ILL request form at https://cia.libwizard.com/f/ILL and provide as much information as possible. Please be aware that the loaning library may charge a fee that you, or your department, will be asked to pay. If you have any questions about ILL requests, email library@cia.edu.

Course Reserves
The Gund Library offers course reserves for CIA degree program classes. For specific information and guidelines, or to place items on reserve, please refer to the current Course Reserves Policy. Artists’ Books and Special Collections
If you would like to use items from our artists’ books collection or special collection materials for your class, please contact Library Director, Laura Ponikvar at lponikvar@cia.edu at least two weeks in advance.

Library Instruction
Do your students really know how to use the library? The library staff is always willing to provide instruction for your class. To schedule a library instruction session, please contact Jackie Mayse, Student Success Librarian, at jlmayse@cia.edu at least two weeks in advance.

Proxy Form
In order for your student assistant or department TS to be able to check out library materials for you, we must have a current proxy form on file in the library. Please fill out the online proxy form. A library staff member will follow up with you shortly.
